The No Longer was forged out of the ashes of another rock n' roll outfit called "Rainy Day Theory". Two of the band's members, brothers Luke and Geoff Desiato began jamming with RDT's former Bass Player George Gaston in the beginning of 2002. In late January they made their very first live performance at a talent show which subsequently led to the official formation of what they named The No Longer. After playing a couple of shows, George left for Bible College in York, England in Fall 2002. With a giant void to fill, Luke and Geoff turned to oldest brother Nick to step in on Bass.

In the late fall of 2002, The No Longer self-produced their first CD, which consisted mainly of songs written by Geoff before The No Longer were assembled. Enjoyed by friends and strangers, The No Longer developed a small but loyal fan base. In late 2003, The No Longer began recording what would be their sophomore release. "Escape From Wormwood" was released on May of 2004 and again consisted of songs that had been previously written yet began to show some of Nick's influence as well.

In July of 2004, the band took a hiatus to rest, write, re-write, and re-think their approach. In January of 2005, The No Longer began recording their Third LP.

FACE WEST
The year of 2005 marked a new era in The No Longer which is evident in this recording.

Released on February 24th 2006, "FACE WEST" is a project that spans an entire year of growth in the lives of these young men. The album is a finely woven tapestry of musical story-telling. It chronicles the life of one who is dead in trespasses and sins and is completely hopeless, His encounter with Christ, the pull of the world, the chastisement of a loving Father, the conviction of the Holy Spirit and finally the peace that passes all understanding.

A NEW CHAIRMAN

After the release and subsequent live performances of Face West, The No Longer found themselves drawn to some more classic and eclectic influences. Thus began the 17 month endeavor that would become "A New Chairman". The No Longer faced many obstacles in the making of their latest project, mainly technical while also running into problems with the album packaging. The drawn out recording process made it difficult to stay focused on the finish line. The diversity of this record truly was a risk and it challenged THE NO LONGER to find a common thread to tie these various types and styles of songwriting together in this newest LP. "A New Chairman" is a call to action for our generation to stand against the masses of mediocrity as they drown in the wake of apathy. It is time for new leaders to lift their voice and sing their new song even if it is to strike a dissonant chord with the rest of the culture.

The No Longer expects to release their 5th record sometime in 2010.
